‘Sublime’, ‘Bossing it’ – These Bears ‘buzzing’ after brilliant int’l display from Rangers star

Some Rangers fans have reacted to footage of Bongani Zungu playing an outrageous pass for South Africa while on international duty.

The Ibrox new boy scored for his country in a 2-0 win over the small African island nation of Sao Tome and Principe but it was his chipped pass that caught the eye.

Zungu himself reacted to the footage on Twitter, replying with the sunglasses emoji which suggests he was pretty pleased with himself.

The move was unfortunately flagged for offside but it seems as though that is down to the timing of the run from Zungu’s Bafana Bafana teammate rather than the timing of the pass.

The offside call is tight at best and we would’ve liked for VAR to get involved as it seems the 28-year-old has been robbed of a glorious assist.

Zungu certainly showed Gers fans what he’s all about in his performance for South Africa after only managing to get 45 minutes worth of action for his new club following his summer move.

Bears will be hoping that Zungu can create similar moments of quality when he returns to Ibrox next weekend as he looks to have a larger impact at Rangers than he has currently managed.

Some Gers fans were impressed with Zungu’s moment of quality with one fan suggesting that the South African will get plenty of assists at his new club, while another claimed they saw shades Graeme Souness in Zungu’s pass.

Here are how some Rangers fans reacted to the footage of Zungu’s pass.

Rangers are next in action against Aberdeen after the international break and Zungu will be hoping for more minutes as a Gers player so he can show his ability to his new fans.

In other Rangers news, Rod Stewart has made an unlikely admission about the Gers’ title hopes.
