‘You need help’ – Broadcaster hits back at Rangers conspiracy theorist after Celtic claim
PLZ Soccer host Peter Martin has hit back at a conspiracy theorist who claims the media hates seeing Rangers upstaging Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and Europe.
On Sunday, the Light Blues smashed Hamilton 8-0 at Ibrox to re-establish their nine-point lead over Celtic at the top of the league table.
Steven Gerrard’s men have been in stunning form this season, avoiding defeat in all 20 of their matches across all competitions, winning 17 times and drawing three times.
However, it seems that one Rangers fan is unhappy with the way the media is portraying the Gers in light of their massive victory over Hamilton and has suggested it’s because there’s an agenda against his side.
“A lot of messages are coming in, a lot of positive messages about Rangers. Andrew Doherty is obviously a guy who believes in the JFK conspiracy theory about a man on the grassy knoll and two shooters because he says: ‘Whatever Celtic do, Rangers upstage them and the media hate that whether it’s domestically or in Europe’,” said Martin on PLZ Soccer’s Football Show on Monday.
“I’m not too sure the media hate Rangers upstaging Celtic. All we can do is observe the games and give you our take on it.
“Whether you feel certain people are of one persuasion or the other, if your head works that way, you need help.
“It’s as simple as that.”
It’s human nature to focus on the negatives rather than the positives – but we’re yet to see anything truly negative about Rangers after their 8-0 demolition job over Hamilton.
There’s barely been anything negative to report on all season except for the Jordan Jones and George Edmundson incident.
This fan who Martin has highlighted clearly thinks there’s an agenda against Rangers but guess what. There are Celtic fans who feel the same way as well.
Doesn’t that show that a lot of this nonsense is solely in peoples’ heads?
Yes, there are obviously people with agendas out there but when you look at the bigger picture, it’s a very loud minority who people just need to ignore.
In other Rangers news, Stan Collymore claims this Gers star lacks an X-factor.
