‘Attitude was stinking’, ‘Honking’ – These Rangers fans pile onto one player despite 1-0 win
Kemar Roofe was the Rangers hero in the Europa League last week when he scored a wonder goal from his own half.
However, he was a long way off the pace last night against Lech Poznan and, in our opinion, the worst player on the pitch.
Everyone’s allowed a stinker every now and again and Roofe is getting more minutes and getting back to being 100%.
That’s fine but what disappointed us was his attitude. He didn’t take kindly to “constructive criticism”, according to Athletic journalist Jordan Campbell, and wasn’t happy when he was taken off.
Managers want players who want to play but Roofe needs to realise that it’s side before self at Rangers.
He wasn’t doing it last night and shouldn’t have been complaining when he was taken off.
One Rangers fan pointed that out and said his “attitude was stinking”.
Other supporters criticised Roofe with some saying Alfredo Morelos is by far the best striker at the club.
That might be true but everyone will have a part to play in what’s going to be a long and gruelling run this season.
Roofe is a fantastic striker who provides real depth for Gerrard and we’ve no doubt he’ll score important goals for Gers this season.
He just wasn’t at it last night – as these fans pointed out on Twitter…
