‘Dangerous’ – Exclusive: Pundit predicts result in Rangers v Poznan clash
We’re delighted to welcome former Rangers manager Alex McLeish as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Alex McLeish has predicted another three points from Rangers today and said they’re “riding the crest of a wave” with their form in Europe and at home in the Premiership.
He warned that Poznan would be dangerous but not a match for a Gerrard side brimming with confidence.
He said that Gers have been “exceptional” in Europe and that their unbeaten run would continue tonight at Ibrox.
Talking exclusively to Ibrox News McLeish said, “I expect them to win again today.
“They’ve been exceptional in Europe and Poznan, while they’re dangerous, just aren’t at the same level as them.
“Stevie will know that Rangers will need to be 100% prepared and they need to look at it as the game they have to win, forget the ones that have gone before.
“It could be dangerous but I think Rangers on their current form will take care of them.
“Of course, in the Europa, winning is first and foremost whether it’s 1-0 or 2-1. Rangers have home advantage and are on the crest of a wave.
“I think that there might be a wee shakeup in the team with fitness and rotation an issue, but Rangers will win it.”
Rangers are undefeated in all competitions this season and have only conceded three goals in the Premiership.
A 2-0 win against Standard Liege in Belgium saw the fine defensive start to the season continue and another clean sheet will be a priority tonight.
We think it could well be another 2-0 win.
In other news, Rangers must go all-out to sign game-changing box-to-box mid earning just £4k/wk
