‘Massive motivation’ – Celtic star sends Rangers warning after miserable run
Celtic forward Albian Ajeti has delivered a warning to Rangers after the Bears became the bookies’ favourites to win the Scottish Premiership.
After a terrible week for our fierce rivals, including the 2-0 defeat in the Old Firm, they became the underdogs to make it 10-in-a-row.
Rangers, on the other hand, have had the perfect week and continued their dominance with an easy victory over Livingston at Ibrox.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Ajeti singled out the change in favourites has given the Celtic squad a massive boost.
“I don’t know how the other boys are feeling but this gives me a massive motivation because I know Celtic – everyone knows Celtic – and everyone knows how dominant they have been in the last couple of years,” he said.
“It’s like another challenge now but I am very excited and really looking forward to it. I think we are a team who loves this kind of challenge.”
Celtic and Neil Lennon are freefalling as it stands, and they are clearly rattled by the success of the Bears as each week passes.
Ajeti is attempting to rally the troops, but the truth is, the league is well and truly in Rangers’ hands as we speak and they need the Gers to slip up.
Prediction expert, Nate Silver has claimed on his website, FiveThirtyEight, that the Light Blues currently have a 58% chance of winning the league – compared to Celtic’s 42%.
Steven Gerrard knows that all his side have to keep doing is picking up wins and concentrating on themselves, something Celtic can’t seem to do right now.
