View: Six games without goal – Rangers ace starting to stutter despite Bears success

Rangers winger Ryan Kent has had a rollercoaster start to the season at Ibrox.

After months of speculation linking him with Leeds United in the Premier League, including a couple of rejected bids, the attacker stayed at Ibrox.

Those links with the Premier League side haven’t seemed to disappear, although Kent admits he is happy with the Bears.

It didn’t affect his form either, with the 23-year-old enjoying a lightning start to the season in Scotland.

Kent scored five goals in all competitions, with his last coming in the Europa League qualifier against Willem II last month.

That was one of his standout performances of the season, with the winger scoring one and delivering an assist in Holland.

Unfortunately, that type of form is a distant memory and fans are starting to recognise this – the winger being slammed against Livingston.

Rangers

Kent hasn’t scored or even been involved in a single goal in the last six outings, which isn’t the player we had come to expect.

The Livingston performance was the worst yet, with the winger only having an expected goal tally of 0.01 according to WyScout.

The 23-year-old had one shot off target at Ibrox and was only successful with 33% of his nine dribble attempts – with that being his main weapon with his speed.

Kent only managed two touches in the opposing penalty area, and that is a sign that he isn’t his usual self in the past six outings.

All it could take is one goal to turn his form around, and the quicker that comes around, the quicker we could get back the old Kent.
