‘Incredible’, ‘Joy to watch’ – Many Rangers fans blown away by ‘Unreal’ player at HT v Livi
Rangers fans were delighted with what they saw from Ianis Hagi in the first-half against Livingston at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
After seeing Celtic drop points in their 3-3 draw at Aberdeen earlier in the day, Rangers knew that they were handed a major opportunity to open up a bigger gap between themselves and the second-placed Hoops.
Livingston held the Gers to a frustrating draw in August so Steven Gerrard’s side wanted to respond in the best way possible this weekend when Livi made their way to Ibrox.
And based on the first-half performance, they are doing that.
Joe Aribo and Jermain Defoe have both gotten themselves on the scoresheet in Govan but it is attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi who was earning the plaudits on Twitter for his performance in the opening 45 minutes.
Hagi, 22, has his critics but the Romanian ace is always someone who has the ability to turn games on their head if he’s on-song.
And he was on-song against Livi on Sunday, which led to fans purring over his display.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Hagi was played in a central attacking midfield role by Gerrard and he flourished in behind Defoe.
The Turkish-born star has been used out wide on the right by Gerrard and he’s failed to impress when he’s there.
But in the middle, behind a striker, is where Hagi does his best work and he showed that against Livi.
As great as it was to see an improved outing by him, Gerrard should also be learning a lot from what he’s seen of the Romania international.
In other Rangers news, there’s been a big development on Jack Wilshere’s future amid links to Ibrox.
