‘Really nervous’ – Alan Brazil makes Lennon claim, shows he’s running scared of Rangers this Sat

Big Celtic fan Alan Brazil is running scared of the Rangers side ahead of the first Old Firm clash of the season on Saturday.

The talkSPORT host said that if Neil Lennon plays with width and lets Rangers play in the middle, he fears the worst.

He urged Lennon to keep things tight in the middle of the pitch.

Brazil was talking on the Breakfast show on talkSPORT (Friday, 9.30am) ahead of the early kick-off on Saturday.

“I’m really nervous, I have to say,” said Brazil when talking about what would happen in the eagerly-awaited clash.

“Just don’t play two wide midfielders Lenny, keep it tight in the middle, let our strikers take care of it.

“Just don’t let them play in the middle.”

Bookies prices show how far Rangers have come

This is brilliant. It shows how far Rangers have come under Steven Gerrard and the first signs of fear from Celtic supporters proves the tables are turning at the top of the Premiership.

It’s not just the fans, either.

While Celtic would normally have been really big favourites to win the game at home, the bookies now can’t split the two sides.

One leading UK bookie has both sides at 8/5 for the win, with the draw priced at 12/5.

Brazil says Celtic’s strikers can take care of Rangers but perhaps he hasn’t heard that Odsonne Edouard is all but ruled out of the game after testing positive for Covid-19.

Leigh Griffiths could start if Edouard is ruled out and he’s only played 14 minutes of football in the Premiership this season.

A win would take Rangers four points clear at the top of the table and while we don’t want to go in too confident, we’re as content as we’ve been going into an Old Firm clash for a while.
