'Massive' – Nigel Spackman & John Hartson predict winner in Rangers clash v Celtic
talkSPORT hosted an Old Firm special this morning on The Jim White Show, with former Rangers player Nigel Spackman and former Hoops John Hartson as guests for balance.
White asked them for their Old Firm predictions at the end of the show (talkSPORT, Friday, 12.30pm) and the guests kept it partisan with Spackman going for Rangers and Hartson for the home side.
Spackman said, “I don’t think Rangers will have a better chance of beating Celtic at Celtic Park than tomorrow.”
“With the covid situation… Edouard, if he’s missing you have to go Rangers.”
Hartson, as expected, had a different view.
“I still think, Nige, even with what you’re saying, there might be an opportunity for Ryan Christie to play,” Hartson said, “Tierney is playing for Arsenal in a similar situation. Celtic are still very strong.

“A lot of these Celtic players, they’ve been over the course so many times.
“Eduoard gets back in the country today, he’s been self-isolating. Griffiths is chomping at the bit…”
“Just say Celtic John,” Spackman said.
“I think Celtic will win the game,” Hartson eventually got out.
Morelos to break duck
The Premiership won’t be won tomorrow whichever way the game goes, but winning the first Old Firm clash is always a big confidence booster.
Winning away makes it even better and Spackman is right when he says that this is an excellent chance to beat Celtic at their home stadium.
Rangers did it last time out without any help from injuries, with a 2-1 win last December and goals from Ryan Kent and Nikola Katic.
We’re expecting big things from Kent again on Saturday and we also think Alfredo Morelos will start and finally break his Celtic duck.
Hopefully, he’ll stay on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, too.
