‘Wonderful’, ‘Outstanding’ – Many fans blown away by Rangers player in latest int’l display

Rangers and Finland fans have been waxing lyrical about Glen Kamara for his performance in Finland’s 1-0 win against Ireland in Helsinki on Wednesday night.

Kamara, 24, helped the Scandinavian nation go top of their UEFA Nations League table in his final appearance of this international break.

He’ll head back to Glasgow in the coming days as Rangers prepare for the first Old Firm derby of the season away at Celtic on Saturday.

And Rangers fans will be praying that Kamara goes into that game in the same form he found himself against Ireland on Wednesday.

One Rangers supporter claimed that Kamara has been “strolling international games” in this break while one Finnish football fan has called the ex-Arsenal man a “wonderful player”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Kamara has been in stunning form this season for both Rangers and Finland.

On Sunday, he won the man of the match away for his display in the 2-0 win against Bulgaria, which led to Norwich’s Finnish striker Teemu Pukki claiming that the Gers midfielder is a future Premier League player.

“Glen is a top player and I think he would definitely do well in the English Premier League,” Pukki said, as quoted by the Daily Record.

“I’d bet on him playing there at some point in his career.”

If Kamara continues with this trend of form that he is in then there’s bound to be speculation linking him with a move south of the border.

But, for now, we’re happy that the midfielder is going under the radar at Ibrox.

We don’t want anything happening to him that has happened to Alfredo Morelos this year.

In other Rangers news, Alan Stubbs feels this Celtic player will beat Morelos in an Old Firm fight.
