‘No brainer’, ‘Immense’ – Many Gers fans delighted with transfer update on ‘top-class’ player
Rangers have been linked with a sensational move for free-agent midfielder Jack Wilshere this week.
Journalist Nicolo Schira reported that the Bears were interested in the former West Ham and England playmaker on Wednesday.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Schira claimed that Wilshere was in “advanced talks” at Ibrox, with a move closing in.
West Ham insider, ExWHUemployee first reported the links between Rangers and Wilshere, and he is usually spot on with these things.
The Daily Mail claimed that the 28-year-old was on £100,000-a-week at the London Stadium, and those are huge wages.
Many would suggest that his fitness concerns would mean that the Bears would be taking a huge risk, but the player himself has put an end to those rumours.
Wilshere has claimed that he has been fit and training hard for the past eight months, something which could tempt Steven Gerrard into a move.
Gerrard has played with Wilshere for England in the past and will know the quality that he possesses when in full form in midfield.
Many Rangers fans have reacted to the links, and the majority have claimed it would be a no brainer to make the move.
Some did raise concerns over his fitness but went onto claim a fully-fit Wilshere would tear up the Scottish League with ease.
