Rangers are interested in signing Jack Wilshere on a free transfer after he was released by West Ham yesterday (Monday), according to a Hammers insider.
The reliable ExWHUemployee reported on his personal Twitter account that the Gers have “already shown an interest” in signing the 28-year-old, who was released by West Ham on deadline day as he was well out of picture at the London Stadium.

Wilshere took to his Twitter account to speak out after he was released by West Ham, declaring that he is fit enough to play and has been for the last eight months.
The ex-Arsenal midfielder also added that he is “hungry, ambitious and desperate to play football and achieve success”.
Could he achieve the success he strives at Ibrox?
Rangers completed a deadline day swoop for Bongani Zungu to strengthen their central midfield options on Monday but Wilshere would add further depth to an area of Steven Gerrard’s squad that could still do with some reinforcement.
Wilshere is also a completely different type of player to Zungu, who’s much more comfortable sitting back in a deeper area and occasionally driving forward with the ball.
Wilshere is a playmaker who loves to get forward and get involved in the attacks.
Although he was reportedly earning £100,000-a-week [Mail] on his contract at West Ham, Wilshere seems so eager to find himself a new club that he would be willing to take a pay cut.
Obviously, Rangers don’t have the money to offer Wilshere a contract as big as that but there must be something left in the bank to be able to offer him a deal he will at least consider.
If Wilshere wants success, regular game-time and a chance to revive his stalling career, Govan could be the perfect place for him.
Yes, he does have his injury issues but for a player of his quality, we think it’s worth the risk.
In other Rangers news, this midfielder is not joining the Gers.
