Late twist in Morelos future at Rangers as Serie A club tables bid, Gers respond – report
Rangers have rejected a late loan-to-buy bid from an unnamed Serie A club for striker Alfredo Morelos, according to Jordan Campbell.
The Athletic journalist has reported that the Italian side offered an up front fee worth £1.7million but the permanent fee for next summer was less than Lille’s previous offer of £14million plus bonuses.
Scottish Daily Mail journalist Stephen McGowan has since reported that Torino are the Serie A club in question.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Morelos’ future at Ibrox ever since he first started banging in the goals for Rangers but this transfer window has been one of the most frustrating.
It seemed at one stage that the Colombia international was going to be on his way out of Ibrox but he’s stayed put in Govan and his form has suffered as a result.
Gers fans tore Morelos to shreds for his performance in the 2-0 win against Ross County on Sunday afternoon while ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton has urged the 24-year-old to “knuckle down” and revive the form he showed in the Scottish Premiership last year.
Morelos now has no choice but to take note of Sutton’s advice and start playing as though he actually wants to play for Rangers again.

The former HJK striker has another three years left on his contract in Glasgow so he’s hardly in a position to try and force an exit.
And if his poor and frustrating form continues, the type of clubs that want to sign him are going to get worse and worse.
We’ve seen Ligue 1 and Serie A club bid for Morelos in this transfer window. If he doesn’t improve then it could be Turkish Super Lig or Russian Premier League clubs bidding for him next summer.
