‘It’s time to go’, ‘Terrible’ – Many Rangers fans tear one player to shreds at HT v Ross County

Rangers fans have slammed striker Alfredo Morelos for his performance in the first half against Ross County at Ibrox on Sunday.

Morelos, 24, started up front for the Light Blues in what is the final Scottish Premiership fixture before the transfer window closes and the international break begins.

It shows that the Colombia forward is set to stay in Govan but that show of faith by Steven Gerrard wasn’t exactly repaid in the opening 45 minutes against the Staggies.

Morelos was widely criticised by supporters on Twitter for not judging his runs correctly and straying offside time after time while the Colombian’s passing and shooting was nowhere near up to scratch either.

Morelos, however, did play a massive role in the Gers’ opening goal when he was fouled in the penalty box before James Tavernier scoring from the spot.

But, Morelos’ ability to win fouls inside the penalty area isn’t enough to paper over the cracks of what was a disappointing display in the first half.

It seems that most fans are let down by the striker’s attitude, with one saying that “his demeanour is terrible”.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Morelos has 45 minutes to prove Rangers fans wrong but he isn’t going to do that when he can’t stay onside, can’t pass and can’t fire decent shots at the goal.

It will be interesting to see how he performs once the transfer window closes and a potential move to Lille is completely off the cards but we’re not going to hold our breath.

Morelos has stunk up Ibrox at times in 2020.

In other Rangers news, Alex McLeish has compared this Gers-linked star to Andros Townsend.
