‘So impressive’ – Kris Boyd and Andy Walker issue predictions for Rangers showdown v Ross County

Kris Boyd and Andy Walker have both backed Rangers to comprehensively beat Ross County when the two sides face on Sunday.

The Gers go into the clash at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and know that a win of any kind will allow them to stay at the summit.

Bitter rivals Celtic gave County a 5-0 drubbing when the two teams met earlier this month, and both pundits are confident that Steven Gerrard’s men will past their test with an equal level of assurance.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Scottish Football podcast, Walker said: “Celtic took five off Ross County in the Highlands a few weeks ago.

“I think Rangers are impressive, so impressive going forward.

“I think Ross County will be aware of that. I’m going for a 4-0 home win.”

Boyd then added: “I’m going to go 3-0 – off the back of a European ninth as well –

“I did have four, but I’m definitely not going five.

“I’ll go three. 3-0.”

Rangers

How will Rangers get on against Ross County?

For what it’s worth, we’re inclined to agree with Boyd and Walker.

The Gers have been in stunning goalscoring form of late, sticking five past Motherwell last weekend and four past Willem II a few days prior.

For their part, County have conceded 14 times already this season – the joint highest tally in the division – while they have scored just twice more than bottom club St. Mirren.

Of course, there’s no such thing as an easy game of football at this level, and Rangers will be fully aware that every match is a potential banana skin.

Still, we’ve seen nothing so far this term to suggest that we have a great deal to worry about on Sunday.
