‘So happy’, ‘Love you again’ – Many Rangers fans react to latest tweet from ‘genius’ Morelos
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their love for hitman Alfredo Morelos.
The Colombian has been at the centre of a typically tumultuous spell with regards to his future at Ibrox in recent weeks.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to French side Lille, and was subsequently omitted from Steven Gerrard’s match day squad entirely for the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock last month.
It goes without saying that an exit has yet to materialise, and despite the fact that he hasn’t started a game since being left out against Killie, he has seemingly played his way back into Gerrard’s good books.
And Thursday night’s performance against Lincoln Red Imps in the Europa League will have gone a long way towards pleasing a large section of the Ibrox faithful.
As well as bagging himself a brace, the South American generally looked more like his old self, buzzing about with energy and purpose, and causing all sorts of nuisances of the champions of Gibraltar.
El Bufalo then endeared himself even further to supporters by retweeting an official post from the Gers themselves referencing his two goals against Red Imps alongside a buffalo emoji, a football, and a smiling face with hearts for eyes.
It can sometimes be difficult figure out what Morelos is thinking.
He is a volatile character with an occasional sullen streak who rarely communicates in English on his public platforms.
But surely this is a sign that he is happy with his current situation.
Even Gerrard himself has hinted at the fact that Morelos’ exit is looking far less certain than it was a few weeks ago.
Could we witness a minor miracle and see the forward stay at Ibrox beyond the end of the current transfer window?
