‘Wow’, ‘Sensational’ – Many Rangers fans heap praise on Ryan Kent during win v Dundee Utd

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Ryan Kent for his display against Dundee United on Saturday afternoon.

The Gers eased past Dundee, keeping up their outstanding defensive record as they ran out 4-0 winners.

Ryan Kent opened the scoring for Steven Gerrard’s men, before James Tavernier doubled their lead on his 250th appearance for the club.

rangersKemar Roofe and Scott Arfield wrapped things up after the break to give the Gers their sixth win of the season.

It was Kent who really caught the eye though, taking the opening goal extremely well.

Starting the attacking move by shifting possession out wide to Borna Barisic, he then got the ball back from the Croatian and played a quick one-two with Ianis Hagi.

Hagi’s pass was perfectly weighted and found Kent inside the box, who took two touches – one to find space, and one to take the ball away from the defender – before firing a shot into back of the net.

The goal was a perfect illustration of Kent’s best attributes – power, aggression, skill, and a clinical edge that has seen him hit four goals in seven outings already this term.

As a point of reference, he contributed seven Scottish Premiership goals across the entirety of last season.

Kent’s impressive performances have been vital in Ranger’s strong start to the season, and it’s little wonder that Leeds United have taken a reported interest in him.

Some fans were adamant that Kent was the man of the match against Dundee, and at this rate, he could end up being player of the season.
