Exclusive: Glasgow Live journo claims that Morelos could still stay at Rangers
Ibrox News recently conducted an exclusive interview with Glasgow Live journalist Chris Doyle to get his views on some of the biggest talking points involving Rangers right now…
Glasgow Live journalist Chris Doyle has claimed that Alfredo Morelos could still stay at Rangers this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the reliable journalist argued that there is no guarantee that the Colombian will secure an exit from the Glaswegian giants in the coming weeks.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move in recent times, with Lille emerging as one of the main challengers for his signature.
But Doyle believes that a highly-speculated transfer is not a certainty.
Speaking to Ibrox News, he said: “I wouldn’t say it’s over for them [Rangers and Morelos]. Definitely not.
“When Morelos can get himself together, he can be devastating. I think Gerrard would love nothing more than to have the Morelos he had 12 months ago and to use him, but it’s kind of out of his control.
“It seems like he wants to go, but what about if a move doesn’t come? There are other factors that come into it.
“I think he will leave, but at the same time, he needs to prove to Gerrard that while he’s contracted to Rangers, he is fully committed to them.”
Morelos has featured in five of the Gers’ first seven Scottish Premiership matches this term.
The South American has registered two goals and two assists in that time.
