'What's not to like?' - Many Rangers fans react to 'superb' Castore kit launch

Rangers have been waiting with keen anticipation to see what kind of kit Castore would produce for them next season.

The Liverpudlian sportswear brand are making their first forays into football with their effort for the Gers, and we have to say, it’s a cracker.

The kit was launched for preorder on Wednesday morning, and it really has the look of a shirt that could go down as something of a classic.

With a classic shade of blue and a collar that harks back to the Graeme Souness era of the Gers’ history, as well as a wave detailing that represents the “blue sea of Ibrox”, this really is a top, top effort.

And many supporters seem to think so too.

The kit didn’t launch until 9am, but fans were able to get access to it before after it was dropped early on Castore’s own website.

The process wasn’t without its issues, however.

For one thing, many supporters were left refreshing their email inbox after they were initially promised exclusive access via their MyGers account.

To then have the kit released early for everybody through a source separate from the club showed a disappointing lack of coordination.

That is the sort of crease that will need to be ironed out as this partnership progresses over the coming years, but for now, we should just be thankful that we have a really smart shirt from a brand who have made it clear from the outset that they are highly dedicated to serving the club to the best of their ability.
