“Rest assured, Rangers are working hard to facilitate fans back into Ibrox as quickly and as safely as possible.

“The club understands that a gradual increase of supporters within the stadium may begin in late August, subject to the appropriate government guidance.”

What can we take from this?

Once again, the Gers have proven that they have the best fanbase in the country, and the financial boost this will give the club will be greatly appreciated.

To sell 32,000 tickets in the middle of a global pandemic is, quite frankly, jaw-dropping.

There is no concrete indication when fans will be allowed back inside Ibrox, and yet supporters are still willing to put their faith in this wonderful club.

That really is superb.

As for bringing some sections of the crowd back as early as August, that would obviously be a good thing.

The caveat is that all safety assurances would have to be rigorously upheld, and the risk would have to be minimised as much as possible.

But if those two requirements can be met, it would be fantastic to finally see some supporters back in the stands as soon as possible.
