Report – Rangers set to delay SPFL dossier release
Rangers will not produce the dossier of evidence they have gathered against the SPFL on Tuesday, according to The Scottish Sun.
The Gers have been embroiled in a dispute with the governing body since last month over their handling of the vote that brought lower league football to an immediate end amid the Coronavirus crisis.
The club claim to have amassed a folder of information proving their allegations of malpractice, with The Scottish Sun reporting over the weekend that it was set for release today.

But the outlet now suggest that any release has been delayed by up to 48 hours.
It is understood that the Gers still intend to send their evidence to the SPFL’s other 41 member clubs prior to May 12th’s EGM on whether or not an independent inquiry should be launched against the governing body.

What can we make of this?
It certainly isn’t ideal, is it?
By pushing back the release of the dossier, Ibrox chiefs are probably doing very little to endear themselves to their peers at other SPFL clubs at a time when the Gers need as many people on side as possible.
Of course, a delay of 48 hours is not a disaster, and if that information is released with enough notice it will still give clubs a fair opportunity to deliberate over it, but the Gers cannot afford to look weak or flaky if they are to convince other SPFL sides that they have a strong case to be answered.
By altering dates and moving goalposts at the last minute, the Gers could get worryingly close to appearing as if they are acting in “bad faith”, as Michael Stewart accused them of doing over the weekend.
That is the last thing we want right now, and for that reason, there cannot afford to be any more delays in releasing this dossier of evidence.
