Ibrox Exclusive: Bruce backs senior attacker for Rangers exit – ‘Without a shadow of a doubt’
We’re delighted to welcome former Scottish Premiership defender Alex Bruce as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Rangers…
Alex Bruce has claimed that Rangers will have no issues finding a buyer for Greg Stewart this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the former Kilmarnock defender suggested that there could be a number of sides willing to swoop for the 30-year-old if he does become available.
A recent report from Football Insider states that the Gers are keen to offload the versatile attacking midfielder in the coming months, with an asking price of around £500,000 touted.
Stewart arrived at Ibrox on a free transfer from Birmingham City last summer.
And Bruce believes that plenty of teams in Scotland would be eager to acquire his services, especially if he is available for such a reasonable fee.
Speaking to Ibrox News, he said: “He was at Kilmarnock before I went there and people spoke very highly of him.
“People said he did very well, so if he was available for that kind of fee, I think he would be snatched up without a shadow of a doubt.
“Whoever gets him would have a decent player on their hands because he’s a steady eddy up there.”
Stewart spent last season on loan at Aberdeen, and the campaign before that on loan at Kilmarnock.
He has played 24 times for the Gers this term, scoring three goals and assisting five more.
