Rangers to stream classic League Cup final in full on Saturday afternoon

Rangers are doing their best to keep fans entertained on Easter Saturday, with lockdown proving particularly tough with sunny weather.

It’s hugely important that we all stay at home and Rangers have done their bit for the cause by putting a classic game in full on its YouTube and Facebook pages.

The game is the League Cup final from back in October 1993 between Rangers and Hibs.

Ahead of the game Rangers asked which two starters and substitute they’d removed from the line-up on Twitter.

If you’re stumped, the answer is Stuart McCall, Pieter Huistra and Alexei Mikhailichenko.

Walter Smith favoured Ian Durrant over Ally McCoist in the game, with the striker returning to fitness after a broken leg.

He wasn’t happy about being left out of the starting XI. However, McCoist ended the day with a huge smile on his face after netting the winner late on from an overhead kick.

We know what we’re going to be doing this afternoon and you can watch the game in full from 3pm on the club’s official YouTube channel or by clicking on the YouTube video below.
