Steven Gerrard delivers sizeable hint on Rangers future after loss v Hearts
Steven Gerrard has seemingly quelled talk of him leaving Rangers by suggesting that he is ready to “go again” when the Gers face Hamilton on Wednesday night.
The manager saw his side dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Hearts on Saturday, prompting him to claim that he needed to think about his future in the aftermath of the defeat.
But it would appear that Gerrard has decided that he is committed to the cause at Ibrox.

As quoted by the Scottish Sun, he said: “I’m good. Ready for the next challenge which is Hamilton tomorrow.
“The game at the weekend was bitterly disappointing, I have done some real thinking with the people around me and I’m ready to go again.
“Even before Christmas I knew this squad needed help and support, to create and produce a winning team you have to strengthen constantly.
“There is a real desire within the group of course until we go on and win something there will always be questions asked of the group.
“We are all playing for our futures at the club.”
Is this good news for Rangers?
Yes, absolutely.
We all know that things have gone off the rails in spectacular fashion since the winter break ended, but for the most part, this is still a Gers side who are improving under Gerrard.
It may not feel like it right now, and the manager will know better than anybody that his men have not been up to scratch since they beat Celtic at Parkhead in December, but the club are slowly moving in the right direction.
Whether they’re moving quickly enough will be a matter of debate for some fans, but right now, if Gerrard were to walk, they would struggle to find anybody better for the job.
He has to stay, and it should be a relief that he is.
