‘Wow, oh wow’ – These Rangers fans drool over ‘phenomenal’ ace v Braga
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to hail Ianis Hagi for his match-winning performance in the dramatic 3-2 win over SC Braga on Thursday night.
The Gers looked dead and buried after falling behind 2-0 against their Portuguese visitors, but thanks to Joe Aribo, Ianis Hagi, and a fortuitously deflected free-kick, Steven Gerrard’s men recorded one of the most memorable European wins in the club’s recent history.
Of course, there were negatives, and the boss will be less than pleased about going behind so early in such a vital tie, but right now, the only thing that anybody will care about is that stunning turnaround.
And Hagi was incredibly instrumental in making it happen.
Yes, he got his brace, with his dad in the stands watching as well, but he brings so much more than a goal threat to this team.
He is inventive and exciting, and he has that rare and unteachable quality that allows him to seemingly perceive the game in ways that others simply can’t.
Honestly, without being overly dramatic, having him at Ibrox could turn out to be a major, major blessing.
Ask anybody who watched that unbelievable match on Thursday, and they’ll tell you he already is one.
