‘Sack every single one’ – These Rangers fans react to ‘shocking’ announcement

Rangers supporters have taken to social media to voice their disgruntlement at the postponement of their side’s Scottish Premiership clash on Saturday afternoon.

The club confirmed earlier in the day that their meeting with Livingston on had been called off due to poor weather conditions.

Bad weather has beset the majority of the United Kingdom this weekend, with Storm Dennis battering certain areas, and leading to many matches being put in jeopardy.

But the general feeling from Gers supporters seems to be that a club of Rangers’ size, with the facilities they have at their disposal, should not have to worry about such things.

The reality, however, is that the pitch at Ibrox is in a pretty deplorable condition as it is.

The Bears have hosted a barrage of home games since the winter break, and the playing surface at Ibrox was noticeably poor enough to prompt Alan Hutton into labelling it as “shocking” after the late win over Hibernian last week.

The last thing anybody needs is for it to be cut up more than it already is, and while you can complain and surmise about how a pitch that was only relaid a short time ago should not be in such a state, but the reality of the situation is that it is, and given the adverse weather conditions that are set to continue throughout the weekend, it would be hazardous and unwise to play a match at Ibrox today.
