Michael Beale takes to Twitter to hail ‘fantastic’ Rangers duo after Stranraer win
Rangers coach Michael Beale has taken to Twitter to congratulate debutants Nathan Patterson and Kai Kennedy for making their bows for the club on Friday night.
Patterson was included from the start in the 2-0 win over Stranraer at Ibrox, while Kennedy was introduced as a substitute in the 81st minute.
And Beale has been quick to point out just how special last night will have been in the careers of both starlets.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, he said: “Congratulations to young Nathan Patterson and Kai Kennedy on their Rangers debuts tonight.
“A special moment for both boys and families. Fantastic achievement.”
How good could Patterson and Kennedy go on to be?
For several reasons, last night’s win over Stranraer maybe wasn’t as impressive as some fans will have been hoping it would be, but if there is a silver lining to be take from it, it is the debuts of Patterson and Kennedy.
The latter didn’t have the longest of cameos to make an impression, but the former was very, very eye-catching.
From the outset he looked bright and measured, and not at all intimidated by the prospect of lining up for his boyhood club at Ibrox.
In fact, he was so good that he had many supporters drooling, as per Ibrox News itself, and with James Tavernier potentially facing a couple of weeks on the sidelines, as per the Scottish Sun, there’s absolutely no reason to believe that the youngster can’t continue his run in the Gers’ coming matches.
