Revenge will be at the top of the menu for everyone involved at Rangers when they travel to Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
It was very clear that the Light Blues dominated their fierce rivals in the Betfred Cup final recently, and the 1-0 defeat would have been a real hammer blow.
Alfredo Morelos had a number of chances, including a penalty, but Fraser Forster was in great form at Hampden Park.
The Colombian was then sent off against Motherwell, and he is now available to return against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
Barry Ferguson has claimed that there is one change that Steven Gerrard must make, and that is bringing back in Morelos for the game at Celtic Park.
“I only expect one change from the side that started against Kilmarnock on Boxing Day and it’s a no-brainer,” Ferguson told the Daily Record.
“Alfredo Morelos must come in for Jermain Defoe and we all saw what he did against Killie. I watched the game on Rangers TV and I saw the difference Alfredo made when he came on.
“He looked hungry, he’d have been disappointed at what happened at Fir Park with his red card and I thought Defoe rightly kept his place as he was excellent against Hibs at Easter Road.
“But Rangers are a better side with Morelos in it, that’s why he’ll start against Celtic.”
If there is one person with the attitude perfect for revenge, it would be Morelos. His fiery character has often got him into trouble, but as Ferguson says, it is a no-brainer to bring him back into the squad.
Morelos has yet to score against Celtic, and with a win on Sunday putting them two points behind their rivals with a game-in-hand, and there would be no better time for him to break that duck.
