'Of course it would' - Rangers senior figure opens up on his main 'dream'

Steven Gerrard has never shied away from the speculation of becoming Liverpool manager in the future but has definitely made it clear that his main focus is still with Rangers.

The former Reds midfielder has always been linked with a move to Anfield after the reign of Jurgen Klopp, especially after both him and the German both signed new contracts until 2024 recently.

Gerrard has continued to impress at Ibrox, and he is proving his credentials more with each passing game in the Scottish Premier League.

Gerrard recently opened up on his future goals to a former teammate, claiming whether or not he would make the jump to take control at Anfield.

“My aim, dream would be to manage Liverpool Football Club, of course, it would,” he told Jamie Carragher on the Greatest Game podcast.

That is clearly pointing out the obvious, as everyone will know that Gerrard has set his sights on the Anfield role since his first day of the role at Rangers.

The clock appears to be ticking on Gerrard’s time at Ibrox already, and it isn’t the best sight to see that he has been talking about his potential future role at Liverpool.

All Reds fans have also made it clear that they would love to see their former star man in charge, and that might seem strange for Rangers fans, who could now be forced to just sit and wait until he decides to leave the club.
