With Rangers playing on Friday night, you might have been forgiven for thinking that this weekend was going to be a quiet one for Rangers.

But while the senior side may not have been in action, there has been plenty going on off the field for the reserves.

Both Nathan Patterson and James Maxwell have put pen to paper on new deals that will keep them at Ibrox until at least 2022, and the reveals have generally been met with delight by most fans.

But there are still a fair few Light Blues who are pushing for another announcement concerning one of the club’s other exciting prospects.

Leon King has yet to commit to a professional deal with the Gers, despite turning 16 next month.

As per a report from Football Insider, there are a whole host of top sides chasing his signature, with Wolves the latest to join Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Bundesliga big guns RB Leipzig in pursuit of the defender.

And we have to hope that King relents and signs a contract.

The youngster is attracting that kind of attention for a reason, and if the Gers can’t persuade him to stay soon, then we could have another Billy Gilmour situation on our hands.

At the moment, it feels like hopes are fairly slim, but that hasn’t stopped many supporters from voicing their opinions anyway…

In other news, Alan Hutton claims Scottish Premiership side have approached senior Rangers man.
