‘What’s wrong’, ‘Embarrassment’ – Some Rangers fans slam one player v Young Boys

Rangers survived a late scare to progress to the knockout stages of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Leading from a 30-minute goal from – who else – Alfredo Morelos, Rangers were topping the group until Borna Barisic put through his own net with just one minute of normal time left.

With Porto beating Feyenoord, another goal would have sent Rangers packing in the cruelest way possible.

Thankfully, the players held on for the last nervy few minutes, although Porto took the top spot and they’ll avoid the Champions League teams that are dropping down into the Europa.

Morelos was the standout performer on the night but Ryan Kent was the one player who disappointed.

One of the problems with Kent is that Rangers fans possibly expect too much of him, because of his price tag.

But in terms of his career, he’s still relatively young and hasn’t had a lot of top-level experience.

We’re sure he’ll come good but he’s certainly not untouchable and he’s been off the pace for the past couple of games.

Many Rangers fans noticed this last night – here are the best reactions from fans on Twitter…
