‘Form of his life’ – These Rangers fans react to int’l display from 27y/o ace

Scotland beat Kazakhstan 3-1 at Hampden Park on Tuesday night and Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack played 90 minutes for the second consecutive game for his country.

His brilliant form for Rangers has seen him welcomed back into the Scotland side, but this was only the fourth cap that he’s won.

John McGinn scored twice and Steven Naismith got the other after Scotland had gone behind to a brilliant strike from Baktiyor Zainutdinov after 34 minutes.

It was too late for Scotland’s chances of automatic qualification, with Belgium finishing with a perfect record of 10 wins from 10, and Russia securing the second-place spot, a full nine points ahead of Scotland.

Instead, Scotland will contest the Nations League play-offs, although they’re guaranteed a home semi-final against either Bulgaria, Hungary, Israel or Romania.

Jack put in a solid 90 minutes and was given the third highest-rating on the pitch by SofaScore, with just Ryan Christie and John McGinn ahead of him.

Some Rangers fans were pleased but many others were just happy that he came back unscathed after a nasty tackle saw him grounded.
