Livingston captain Marvin Bartley has said that Rangers are the best side they’ve faced at home all season – and they’ve already beaten Celtic.
Rangers dominated the game on Sunday and went away deserved 2-0 winners.
The final score could have been more as well, but for the heroics of Livingston goalkeeper Matija Sarkic, who was their man of the match.
Sarkic was even put in the Premiership team of the week, selected by Daryl Currie and Chris Sutton, alongside Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara and Connor Goldson from Rangers.
Talking to the Scottish Sun, Bartley said, “I think there are times when you just have to hold your hands up and say the better team won.
“In terms of the teams we’ve played at home, they’re definitely the best side we’ve faced so far this season.
“We were playing against a very good Rangers team. You can see how they’ve been doing in Europe and they came here and did a number on us. We can’t have any qualms about the result.
“I thought they were superb.”
The win keeps Rangers level on points with Celtic at the top of the table.
Celtic were beaten earlier in the season when they travelled to the Tony Macaroni Arena. Livingston beat them 2-0 after Ryan Christie was sent off after just 26 minutes of the game.
