These Rangers fans slate one player after 1-1 v Hearts: 'Drop him for the next league game'
Steven Gerrard said the game against Hearts would be tough and so it turned out for Rangers
A 1-1 draw means Gerrard’s side drops off the top of the table after Celtic finally showed some attitude, beating Ross County 6-0.
There were several Rangers players who didn’t cut it on Sunday but none were as wasteful and ultimately to blame for the result as James Tavernier.
He’s been off it most of the season but he had a thoroughly miserable game on Sunday and it was Tavernier who was to blame for the opening goal after just six minutes.
He could have taken the safety-first approach, but didn’t, and had plenty of opportunities to make amends throughout the game but was woeful from crosses and set pieces.
He wasn’t the only culprit on Sunday. Sheyi Ojo was abysmal as well but Tavernier came in for the most criticism from fans.
It was a crash down to earth for Rangers, after scoring 17 goals in four games with just one conceded, but minds must now turn to the big Europa game against Porto on Thursday.
In the meantime, here are the best reactions from Rangers fans to Tavernier’s latest flop outing.

@James_Tavernier this is my last tweet as I'll probably be blocked anyway but you need to get a grip. You need to up you're game I know you can do it captain but please take more responsibility and stop sending out other players when it's you that should be taking responsibility

The Tavernier situation is now becoming a problem. He's costing us big goals at crucial times. At what point does this start to outweigh the good he does? I've always said a defenders 1st job is to defend, at the moment he's really struggling to do the basics. Terrible yesterday.

Get Tavernier off set-pieces indefinitely, drop him for the next league game and sign a right back that can actually challenge him
