Youssef Chermiti exit fears to be heightened at Rangers amid Danny Rohl latest
Youssef Chermiti has been linked with an exit from Rangers, and the uncertainty over Danny Rohl's future will only add to those fears.
While the season ultimately ended in failure given their inability to win any silverware, there were some positives to take.
The main one was the form of Chermiti, who finished the campaign with 15 goals and five assists in just 20 Scottish Premiership starts
With two hat-tricks also to his name, the former Everton star showcased the fact that he had certainly started to find his feet.
However, that resurgence in form ultimately came at a cost, with Chermiti then linked with an exit from Ibrox, with several European clubs mooted with an interest.
And with Rohl potentially on his way to Salzburg, the future of the striker remains unknown.
How Danny Rohl saga could impact Youssef Chermiti
If there was one major thing that Rohl deserves credit for from last season, it was his ability to get Chermiti at his best
For context, prior to his move to Rangers, Chermiti had managed just three senior goals across three different seasons with Everton and Sporting.
His confidence was sky high under Rohl, who found a system to suit him down to a tee, and with links to the Salzburg job, that may all go out the window this summer.
If so, there is every chance that Chermiti looks to exit Ibrox, knowing that a failure to repeat the success that he found last season in the next campaign could prevent him the opportunity from sealing a potentially big career move.
How much should Rangers be asking for to sanction Chermiti exit?
It was reported at the time that the deal to bring Chermiti to Ibrox set the Gers back a fee in the region of £10million.
And with a 15-goal season off the back of that move, his value will have increased quite signficantly.
Anything less than £20m for the striker should simply be laughed off as a joke, given the fact that the Light Blues struggled for goals outside of his contribtions.
