Rangers will have to make a monumental offer to sign Frosinone winger Fares Ghedjemis.

The Algeria international, who scored 15 league goals for the newly promoted Serie A club last season, has been linked with a move to Ibrox.

Derek McInnes is in search of new attackers and the 23-year-old has been identified as one of the options.

The Ibrox hierarchy have already seen their £8.5million proposal get rejected by Frosinone for Ghedjemis.

As things stand, the forward still has two years left on his contract at Stadio Benito Stirpe and the Italian club clearly value him highly.

Celtic have joined the Govan side in the race for the Algerian ace, but it remains to be seen how negotiations will progress.

How much Frosinone want for Fares Ghedjemis after Rangers offer

Ghedjemis has attracted interest at Ibrox, but Frosinone are making things difficult.

There are plenty of options the Gers have on their radar and the noise around the Algeria international in G51 has calmed down.

According to Foot Mercato on 9 August, the Serie A club want around £17.1m for their star forward this transfer window.

AS Monaco have also tabled a bid for Ghedjemis, which has been knocked back.

The Glaswegian outfit "appreciate" the attacker's profile but have been deterred by Frosinone's valuation.

Where Ibrox winger search for Derek McInnes stands

Rangers signed Daisuke Yokota for £2.75m plus add-ons from Hannover 96.

The sales of Oliver Antman and Nedim Bajrami have opened the doors for multiple additions out wide at the Gers.

PSV's Couhaib Driouech is a concrete target at Ibrox and the Light Blues look close to striking an agreement with the Eredivisie club.

Ghedjemis seems to have been discarded as an option at the Glaswegian outfit for now due to his price tag.

The Govan side have wasted no time in pursuing other targets and finally look to have found another new winger in the Morocco youth international.

Driouech, 24, has mostly played on the left-wing for PSV over the years and it will be interesting to see how his possible arrival will affect the likes of Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama.
