Ryan Naderi goes from avoiding Rangers exit to being 'absolutely dynamite' at Ibrox

Ryan Naderi has been incredible for Rangers in recent matches.

The Germany-born striker's status was uncertain after Derek McInnes' arrival, but he has certainly earned his place in the starting lineup.

With the Gers making several additions to their attack, the former Hansa Rostock forward felt surplus to requirements.

Naderi now feels indispensable at Ibrox, with his performances against Celtic standing out.

The 23-year-old striker's energy, work rate, desire and penchant for scoring important goals have made him a firm fan favourite.

From possibly being on the brink of the squad at the start of the season, the centre-forward has turned things around massively in G51.

Naderi's displays have caught the eye of the Czech Republic and he could've featured for the national team if it weren't for red tape.

The attacker provides the athleticism McInnes needs up front to pressure the opposition, something Kevin Kelsy and the other number nines can't effectively do alone.

It's safe to say Naderi may be the first name on the teamsheet for the Scottish manager going forward.

Lawrence Shankland's arrival looked to threaten his prospects at the Glaswegian outfit, but he has now become influential for McInnes.

Speaking on Open Goal on 24 September, Gordon Dalziel said, "Naderi for me. I'm looking at this guy beginning the season thinking they'll probably pan him out soon. He's been absolutely dynamite"

What Ibrox future looks like for other strikers under Derek McInnes

Shankland and Youssef Chermiti have picked up long-term injuries at Rangers and won't be returning anytime soon.

For now, Kelsy and Naderi look like McInnes' preferred options ahead of Bojan Miovski.

The North Macedonia international continues to struggle for game time at Ibrox and may finally decide to leave in January.

As for Chermiti, it remains to be seen when he'll return, but the Gers could now potentially opt to cash in on him next summer.

Shankland is part of the leadership group and McInnes will surely want him to stick around, even if he isn't guaranteed minutes in Govan.

The future looks bright for Naderi in Glasgow, but the same can't be said about some of the other players in the squad.
