Rangers want four specific new transfers as Bryan Reynolds bid made
Rangers are wasting no time as they look to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.
Danny Rohl has already welcomed Lawrence Shankland to Ibrox in a statement move from Hearts, with more to come.
Liam Kelly has also signed a new contract, with the Bears moving on from experienced figures like James Tavernier.
Andrew Cavenagh isn't afraid to put his money where his mouth is either, and has already spent a fortune since arriving in Govan.
That is set to continue, with Rangers making a £2.1million offer for Westerlo right-back, Ryan Reynolds.
Rangers are moving quickly, and it's only the beginning of what plans to be a busy summer window in Glasgow.
Rangers want several new defenders signed
Rohl knows that the end of last season was nowhere good enough, and big changes are planned.
Nasser Djiga, Derek Cornelius and Jayden Meghoma have left after their loan spells, joining Tavernier on the way out.
That leaves senior options Tuur Rommens, Emmanuel Fernandez, John Souttar and Dujon Sterling.
And according to Chris Jack and the Rangers Review, that is why four additions are wanted in defence this summer.
Reynolds is the first they have moved for, with their bid rejected.
Ironically, the American speedster could follow the exact same path as Rommens, going from Westerlo to Glasgow.
What else do Rangers want in the transfer window?
Shankland ticked off a big box in the final third, with someone more clinical than the likes of Youssef Chermiti.
Four defenders would be a big outlay, but the loan market could also be used, with Sterling, Fernandez, Souttar and Rommens good enough to start.
Reynolds will also be pushing for a starting berth, so blending in some youth will help that defence massively.
Then, all eyes will be on playmakers, with Mikey Moore and Andreas Skov Olsen returning to their parent clubs.
Moore could still return to Ibrox, but it is brilliant to see Cavenagh and the board trying to get their permanent business done early.
Shankland is in, Reynolds could be next, and there's plenty more where they came from, it seems.
