Rangers attacker Tom Lawrence is subject to transfer interest from Besiktas, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer window guru claimed on 18 January that as the Welshman is someone Ole Gunnar Solskjaer worked with at Manchester United, he's keen on a reunion in Turkey.

Lawrence has six months left on his deal at Ibrox and can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club.

Via X, Romano wrote: "Besiktas are showing initial interest in Tom Lawrence at Glasgow Rangers. Ole Gunnar Solskjær coached him at Man United and now he has 6 months left on his deal, available for free in January."

Rangers could cash in on Tom Lawrence in January

At 31, it's fair to say that Lawrence's best days are behind him.

His form and fitness since his move to Ibrox have been erratic and that's led to many questions about his suitability.

If Gers are given the chance to cash in on his services with six months left on his deal, there is the likelihood that they will take it.

Currently, the Welshman is injured and unavailable and Philippe Clement will have noticed the trend since he's taken over.

Nils Koppen and the Gers board have to be smart here and try getting as much money as possible from Besiktas.

Given Solskjaer's appointment, there is a chance that he could ask the board to pursue Lawrence's services at all costs.

It remains to be seen if an actual bid is tabled for his services in this window.
