Sheffield United may have to make a few adjustments to their budget in order to sign Rangers attacker Tom Lawrence this summer, according to the Star.

The news outlet reported on 10 June that with Chris Wilder admitting that free agents and loans were the priority, potential sales of Anel Ahmedhodzic and/or Vini Souza may free up funds to sign Lawrence.

Gers will demand a transfer fee for the Wales international who's not out of contract until the end of next season.

Rangers should only sell Tom Lawrence at the right price

Gers are under no immediate pressure to sell him, giving them leverage in any potential negotiations.

Selling him for less than his market value would be a disservice to the club.

The financial implications of selling the 30-year-old at the right price could significantly benefit the Ibrox outfit.

The funds generated from his sale could be reinvested in strengthening the squad or improving club facilities, enhancing the team's competitiveness and sustainability.

Lastly, selling Lawrence at the right price would also send a strong message about the club's valuation of their players.

It would demonstrate that the club is not willing to part with its assets cheaply, which could deter low-ball offers in the future.

If the right offer does not come in, Philippe Clement will not mind having an international player in his squad who's capable of playing varied roles.
