Rapid Bucharest are in no rush to sell striker Albion Rrahmani amid links to Rangers with their season already having started, according to the Daily Record.

The Scottish newspaper reported via its online edition on 11 August that with their season starting and manager Neil Lennon not fancying the sale of the Kosovo international, they're happy to keep Rrahmani and will only sell if they sign a replacement.

Rangers must sign a striker this transfer window at any cost

The Ibrox outfit have to prioritise signing a striker this transfer window to address their goal-scoring needs.

Cyriel Dessers and Danilo have not lived up to expectations, leaving a void in the team's attacking department.

The club's pursuit of Rrahmani from Rapid Bucharest indicates their intention to strengthen the squad, but the £6.8million fee is a significant investment.

Gers should negotiate to reduce the price for the 23-year-old, as securing his services at a lower cost would be a prudent move.

However, if the negotiations with Rapid Bucharest do not progress, the club must shift their focus to Lawrence Shankland.

The Scotland international has been in prolific form for Hearts, scoring 31 goals in all competitions last season.

His proven track record in the Scottish Premiership makes him an ideal candidate to bolster Rangers' attacking options.
