Rangers want Mikey Moore to return to Ibrox following his loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Englishman made quite the impression in Govan and, despite his young age, proved to be a vital cog in Danny Rohl's machine.

At 18 years old, Moore will be looking for consistent game time in order to continue development.

While all options are still on the table, Tottenham's recent market activity could push Moore to lean towards another loan or exit away.

Spurs look to be eyeing a left-winger in the market, and that could be playing on the 18-year-old's mind.

In that instance, Rangers would certainly be waiting and ready to pounce.

Why Mikey Moore could push for Tottenham exit now

Moore is highly-rated at both Tottenham and Rangers, but his minutes in London could be drastically less than he wants.

After Spurs survived relegation, the Lilywhites are now looking to avoid getting into a battle to avoid the drop once more.

The Premier League side have been showing plenty of ambition in the market, with the arrival of Andy Robertson announced.

However, they are now lining up a mega-money move for a winger that would directly compete with Moore.

According to journalist Simon Jones, Tottenham "are advancing in talks over a £60million deal for Manchester City's Savinho."

While capable of playing on either wing, Savinho has prominently been used by Man City on the left side

This is the position that Moore would be looking to be deployed in. With Savinho potentially arriving at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Rangers loanee may feel his pathway has been blocked.

In that instance, a loan or permanent exit looks to be the best move for his career, and Rangers could now certainly benefit.

What is the latest on Moore's future at Tottenham?

Tottenham are set to assess all of their loanees this summer and that of course would include Moore.

The Athletic have recently shared that Spurs will assess whether those such as Moore are ready to be reintegrated into the first-team squad or if they need another loan.

For Moore, even if Tottenham consider him ready, whether or not he is willing to play a sporadic or rotational role at this stage of his development still remains to be seen.

Hopefully for Rangers, these latest reports is just the start of progress over bringing him back to G51.
