Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson has admitted that he still holds the dream of playing for Rangers.
The admission away from Ibrox has reopened debate on Raskin's future, as a sale would likely be needed to fund a move.
Speaking on the Daily Record's Hotline Live, Keith Jackson believes that the Govan side could sell Raskin to bring Ferguson through the doors as he raised a new theory.
He said: “We don’t know what’s going to happen with Nico Raskin, I think Derek McInnes would far rather keep him for the campaign.
“If someone comes in January, and it is a big offer, I wonder if Rangers might look at this, and say, 'well if we got such and such an amount, then maybe going to a figure like that for Lewis Ferguson is possible'.”

How do Ferguson and current Rangers star Raskin compare?
Ferguson has been tipped as a future captain of the Light Blues and knows what is required, due to his family connections to the club.
According to FotMob data, Raskin averages 1.95 shots, 0.65 chances created and an 85.9 per cent pass completition, whereas the Scotsman managed figures of 0.60 shots, one chance created and 93 per cent pass accuracy per 90 minutes.
The current Gers star makes 1.95 tackles, 6.07 recoveries and 1.95 clearances, compared to 2.60 tackles, 3.60 recoveries and 1.40 clearances for the Serie A star.
In terms of duels, Ferguson comes out on top winning 54.2 per cent on the ground and 77.8 per cent in the air, while Raskin has won 47.4 per cent on the ground and 38.5 per cent in the air.
The data paints a picture which suggests that the Ibrox star is better, but the Scotland international is playing in a top five league in Europe, so his data will be negatively affected by the better opposition.
