Rangers are ready to terminate their agreement with Raith Rovers to send players their for co-operation loans.

The Gers had an agreement in place with Raith to send development players to the Scottish Championship club last season.

Josh Gentles was sent to Stark's Park initially as part of the agreement, but would later be brought back and sent elsewhere.

He was the only player to move between the teams as part of the arrangement, though Paul Nsio did spend last season with Raith.

However, it now looks like Rangers are ready to kibosh the link-up with Raith for next season.

Moreover, it looks like the Glasgow giants have already identified a new club to link up with for the 2026/27 campaign.

Who are Rangers going to replace Raith Rovers with?

Rangers have been keen to have link-ups with teams in the lower leagues to ensure their emerging talents get exposure to first-team football.

The agreement with Raith did not prove to be too fruitful, and thus it makes sense to explore other avenues for the coming campaign.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers have indicated they are ready to end the relationship with Raith.

And the newspaper, reporting via its official website, says that Rangers are now in talks with Queen's Park as a replacement.

Morton are said to be keen for a tie-up with Rangers, and are reportedly under consideration from decision makers at Govan.

But Queen's Park are in pole position, as Rangers consider their options to replace Raith for next term.

Who else do Rangers have link-ups with?

It is not just Raith who Rangers have agreements in place with last term, as they look to establish ties with teams throughout the Scottish league p

Alloa Athletic are Rangers' partner club in League One, and that link has proved especially successful for the Light Blues.

Calum Adamson, Gentles (after his Raith spell), and Lewis Stewart have all been sent to Indodrill Stadium to continue their respective developments away from Govan.

Callum Burnside had a regular loan at Alloa as well, with the Rangers contingent helping Alloa reach the play-offs last season.
