James Graham looks set to depart Rangers on loan as Annan Athletic are closing in on the signing of the talented forward, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper reported on its live transfer feed on 21 August (02:45pm) that the League One side look "set to win the fight" to sign the 19-year-old.

It said the Gers are keen for Graham to play some first-team games and that seven or eight clubs from League One and Two have shown an interest in taking the forward on loan this summer.

Good experience

A loan move will provide Graham with some invaluable experience as he looks to continue with his development in the game.

The Gers have been keen to hand the teenager some first-team football and he should be able to get plenty of minutes if he makes the move to Annan.

The League One side are currently short on options up front, so it could be the perfect place for him to go and learn what senior football is about, score some goals and build up his confidence.

There will be a number of disappointed clubs after it was revealed by the Daily Record that as many as eight sides have expressed an interest in signing him this summer.

The forward will be hoping to build on the five goals he scored for the Rangers B team in the Lowland League last season in his upcoming loan as he looks to catch the attention of Michael Beale and his staff.
