Rangers and Hoffenheim defender Stanley Nsoki could struggle to reach an agreement on wages ahead of a possible move, according to Football Scotland.

The outlet reported on 29 August that Nsoki's wage demands could prove to be a "stumbling block" in finalising a deal before the 11pm deadline tomorrow.

The Light Blues are also facing competition for the defender, who has previously worked with Philippe Clement in his career.

Rangers to seal Stanley Nsoki transfer?

Of all the teams in the Scottish Premiership, Rangers are one of the few teams who have undergone a major rebuild.

Following the disappointment of finishing in second place behind arch-rivals Celtic once again last season, Clement has chosen to make changes to try and bolster his ranks.

He has managed to do this with some of his arrivals so far with the likes of Robin Propper and former Aberdeen ace Connor Barron being two players that spring to mind.

However, it's been made evident since the start of the 2024/25 season that further reinforcement is needed if the club really wants to put up a fight for the title.

Nsoki's arrival would help shore up Clement's defence and perhaps even allow the club to have a more serious go at the title.

It was already reported on 29 August [Daily Record] that Nsoki is more likely to join Lille than the Gers but with a reason now being reported, Rangers need to try find a way to increase their funding to entice the 25-year-old to Ibrox.

Only time will tell who will arrive at Ibrox, but, one thing is for sure, Nsoki would improve the Gers tenfold.
