Nicolas Raskin's Rangers exit: State of play, what we know, when he could leave Ibrox
Nicolas Raskin is continuing to be linked with a Rangers exit ahead of his return from the World Cup.
The midfielder may be the Bears' most valuable asset at the club, and there's definitely not a lack of potential suitors for him this summer.
Raskin has played a crucial role for Belgium at this year's World Cup, and will be hoping for success when his nation faces off against Spain on Friday.
The 25-year-old picked up an assist in Belgium's Round of 16 win over the USA last time out, and has the chance to play in the semi-final of the tournament, should they beat Spain.
Derek McInnes is yet to get his first look at the player this summer, but that might not matter if the 49ers have internal plans to sell him.
It feels like everything is pointing towards Raskin leaving, though the club he could join remains uncertain.
What we know about Nicolas Raskin's potential Rangers exit
According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Rangers' record sale "will certainly be broken if they do sell Raskin".
Calvin Bassey's move to Ajax is the Bears' biggest sale in their history, standing at £20million, as suggestions have said it could take a £25m bid for the 49ers to cash in on their big star.
Multiple clubs in Serie A, La Liga and the Premier League are all said to be interested in the Belgian international, though few have acted upon said interest.
Hull City, Tottenham Hotspur, Atalanta and Bologna have all been linked with him.
However, the Tigers are the side who have made the biggest step towards landing him, after it was reported they had launched a bid in the region of £12m to £14m, but it ultimately fell short of Rangers' valuation.
There's no doubt that his performances at the World Cup have increased attention on his name, as well as his market value.
Rangers have been tipped to agree a swap deal with Bologna for Raskin, which would see Lewis Ferguson come to Ibrox, a player that has been heavily linked with the Bears since McInnes' arrival.
But when could a sale be done?
When Rangers could sell Raskin
It's not known if Raskin would force a move out of Rangers, especially given his previous claims of love for the club.
It is highly unlikely that the midfielder would officially depart Ibrox while he's still in North America with Belgium.
The tournament ends on 19 July, as the Bears' season then starts shortly after on 31 July.
Given how much Raskin's sale could bank Andrew Cavenagh and Co., the club would do their utmost to ensure that if he is sold, a deal would be done with enough time left in the window to get a replacement, or use his funds elsewhere to improve the squad.
That said, his future will most likely only be resolved later in July, and if not by then, certainly in August, ideally as quick as possible for all parties.
