Nicolas Raskin entourage ready post-World Cup exit as Rangers midfielder speaks out
Nicolas Raskin's future will undoubtedly be a significant story for Rangers throughout the summer.
The Belgium international has been proving his qualities over the last few years at Ibrox, and his performances have been justly rewarded.
Those displays have made him a regular feature in the Belgian national side and he is currently away at the World Cup as a result.
While the tournament may put a hold on any transfer talk surrounding Raskin, come the end of Belgium's run, it could ramp up.
Raskin has previously been touted to bring a substantial fee in for the Ibrox side should he be sold.
The Rangers star has now spoken out over his future as he revealed his focus at the moment amid reports of his camp eyeing a transfer.
What has been said about Nicolas Raskin's future?
Newly-appointed Rangers manager Derek McInnes will want the best possible players at Ibrox to push for the league title.
And he will certainly want the chance to speak to Raskin about where his head is at.
Among the squad, the 25-year-old appears to be the Gers' most sellable and likely asset to depart.
According to outlet HLN: "Sources close to him say that they absolutely want to make a transfer this summer."
Among potential destinations they share that there is plenty of interest in him within the "Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A".
And it adds that Raskin's entourage will be working on an exit from Ibrox after he is finished at the World Cup.
While away at the World Cup, Raskin has lifted the lid over his future amid these reports, but he did remain coy.
He stated, as relayed by Rangers Review: "I’m not thinking about that right now. I’m not occupied with that at the moment.
"I leave that to those who represent me in Belgium and I’m focused on what’s happening here.
"I am not concerned with a possible transfer, nor with the amount of a future transfer fee. I leave all that to my agents."
The player's representatives will undoubtedly be sending out feelers over potential moves.
Raskin has previously iterated his wish to play in the Premier League, and at 25 years old, and featuring at a World Cup, now could be the perfect time.
With McInnes' arrival, the Bears could use the funds of the Belgian's sale to hand the newly appointed boss the rebuild required.
Why Derek McInnes would love a player like Raskin at Rangers
Ideally, the summer transfer window ends, Rangers have strengthened and Raskin is still playing his football in Govan.
However, the reality is that may not be the case.
But McInnes may certainly do his best to make that happen based on what Garcia once stated about Raskin.
In just his fourth cap for his nation, Raskin was brought off the bench in a 4-3 win against Wales in 2025
Garcia praised the Rangers ace quite heavily stating: "We needed warriors in midfield. Nicolas Raskin did a fantastic job there. From then on, we didn't concede anything."
That level of quality and impact is what is needed for a title push, but time will tell if the Gers can convince him to remain at Ibrox.
