Mikey Moore sends two-word message as Rangers contract agreement sealed
Mikey Moore is once again the talk of the town around Rangers.
Arriving on loan as a relative unknown from Tottenham Hotspur last season, the young winger would light Ibrox up.
Initially struggling under Russell Martin, as so many did, Danny Rohl would unlock Moore with much further responsibility in the final third.
Playing off the left, the England youth star would have license to roam in midfield, scoring at Parkhead in that memorable Old Firm win.
The season would end in disappointment, though, and that has opened the door to a potential return to Govan.
Rangers have been busy already, with Derek McInnes' arrival and Lawrence Shankland's signature, but more is still to come.
Rangers start to finalise Ibrox squad
Before you start adding significant numbers in the transfer window, you need to figure out who is staying, and who will be sold.
There were huge question marks around Bailey Rice, the young midfielder who was out of contract.
Despite breaking through after signing from Motherwell, an injury put hold to any progress last season, with an exit suggested likely after.
That isn't the case, though.
Rangers confirmed on Monday that Rice has signed a new one-year contract, with the option to extend it further.
Moore was one of those to love the news, sharing a message on his personal Instagram stories.
"Yes, brother," he wrote.
What's next for Derek McInnes?
Rangers return to Auchenhowie to start pre-season on Thursday, with plans delayed by the managerial merry-go-round.
With several representatives at the World Cup, it will be a depleted squad to start with for the ex-Hearts boss.
Rice will be a part of that, but for now, Moore won't be.
The door is said to be open at Tottenham for a return to Glasgow, but that's for Rangers to decide if it's worthwhile.
Findlay Curtis has exploded onto the scene recently, with his form on loan at Kilmarnock sealing him a spot in Scotland's squad for the World Cup.
That has to be recognised with a larger role at Ibrox next season, so can the Bears afford to sign Moore again without holding back one of their own?
McInnes likes to play two strikers too, as we saw at Hearts, so could we see a world where Moore and Curtis play out wide with Shankland and Youssef Chermiti upfront?
It's certainly possible, and the Rangers fans want it done now.
