Manchester City progress move to sign player that Rangers bid £1m-plus for
Rangers have finally transformed their goalkeeping ranks after years of speculation at Ibrox.
Jack Butland has officially left Glasgow behind, joining Hull City as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
Ivor Pandur has come the other way, with Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers splashing £6million to get a deal over the line.
With Pandur currently away with Croatia at the World Cup, Derek McInnes has been given another headline signing to work with.
Following Ben Godfrey and Ross McCrorie in signing for the Light Blues, Rangers will be working with a different defence completely.
They may not have been done there, either, with other goalkeepers still being linked with the Bears.
What about Rangers' interest in Pierce Charles?
Pierce Charles was strongly linked with a move to Ibrox while Danny Rohl was in charge.
Given they worked together at Sheffield Wednesday, it was no surprise to hear speculation on the Northern Ireland international.
It went much further than that, though, with Rangers bidding over £1m to sign Charles when the Owls were in financial crisis last summer.
With Pandur through the door, and Liam Kelly signing a new contract at Ibrox this summer, it appears Rangers are done for now.
Pierce Charles is still set for huge career move
Despite a move to Rangers seemingly being off, Charles could be set for the very top of modern football already.
That's because Manchester City are said to be progressing in their bid to re-sign the 20-year-old, who came through their academy.
Charles moved to Hillsborough from the Etihad Stadium, and after only a couple of years, looks to be going full circle already.
Sky Sports state that although not done yet, there is hope that talks are progressing towards an agreement for all parties.
There aren't many players that have the amount of experience that Charles does at his age, with 12 senior international caps already.
A move to Manchester City will only lead to him securing several loans away before fully breaking past the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
With James Trafford also at the Etihad, you'd assume that the England international will be moving on, too.
As for Rangers, they may have Pandur, but this move may leave slight disappointment that they missed out on Charles when they did.
